What you'll make:

The lion ears sewing pattern creates approximately 8cm high ears on a comfortable felt headband with elastic at the back.

The lion tail sewing pattern creates a tail approximately 34cm long, finished with a soft faux fur tip.

The pattern is designed for children approximately 2–11 years, with a sizing guide included to help you choose the right size.

Materials you'll need

For the lion ears you'll need felt, elastic, lightweight iron-on interfacing and matching thread, with metallic gold felt if you want to add the optional crown.

For the lion tail you'll need yellow polar fleece or felt, lightweight interfacing, matching thread, hobby fill and brown faux fur for the tail tip.

We recommend wool felt for the ears because it is durable and lovely to work with, although other felt blends can also be used.
